Hyderabad: The Football Talent Pool initiative, a collaborative effort of the Telangana Sports Authority, Telangana Football Association, All India Football Federation and FIFA, received an encouraging response at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli here on Saturday.
The program is aimed to revive football in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad.
The under-15 boys’ talent hunt today was attended by about 600 young footballers from the districts across the State and the players were divided into 30 teams to identify talent.
On Sunday, the under-15 talent identification will continue for boys and for girls a similar programme will be held on May 5 and 6.
A workshop on “Talent Identification and Development” will also be conducted on May 5 targeting coaches, physical directors, and technical officials.
