Hyderabad: Goshamahal police arrest suspect in gold chain robbery case

Goshamahal police arrested a 22-year-old youth for allegedly assaulting a biker and robbing his gold chain worth Rs 60,000 near Gyanbagh Colony in Hyderabad. The suspect was traced following a complaint and the stolen property was recovered

Hyderabad: The Goshamahal police on Friday arrested a youth for allegedly assaulting a biker and robbing his gold chain worth Rs 60,000 near Gyanbagh Colony earlier this week.

The suspect, identified as Lalaji Pavan Kumar (22), allegedly targeted the victim while he was returning home after attending a party on May 20.

Police said Pavan Kumar stopped the biker near Amba Bhavani Temple, assaulted him and snatched his gold chain before fleeing.

Based on a complaint, a case was booked and the suspect was traced and arrested. The robbed property was also recovered.
