Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police enabled fast and uninterrupted movement of an ambulance carrying a live organ by providing a ‘green channel’ through the busy city roads on Wednesday.
The ambulance, carrying a pair of lungs, started from Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet, at 12.03 pm and reached the KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad at 12.16 pm covering the distance of 11 kilometres in 13 minutes.
The efforts of the Traffic Police were appreciated by the managements of both hospitals. The Hyderabad Traffic Police have provided green channels 29 times so far this year in coordination with Rachakonda and Cyberabad traffic police.
