Hyderabad: Allegedly upset over harassment by her ex-husband, a woman died by suicide in her house at MM Pahadi in Rajendranagar on the city outskirts on Wednesday late night.
The woman, identified as Shah Jahan Begum, 35, was married to Mohd Imran, an auto-rickshaw driver, and due to frequent disputes between them, the couple got divorced four months ago.
According to the police, Imran has been harassing Begum since then. Unable to take further harassment, she ended her life by hanging in her bedroom. Her family members found her dead on Thursday morning and informed the police. Based on a complaint, the Rajendranagar police booked a case and took up an investigation.
