Hyderabad: HMWSSB fines Banjara Hills resident Rs 5,000 for water wastage
HMWSSB has fined a house owner in Banjara Hills Rs 5,000 for allowing his overhead water tank to overflow. An on-duty manager noticed the wastage, and acting on the orders of HMWSSB Managing Director, issued a notice and penalty to the resident for his negligence

Hyderabad: Officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 against a house owner, A Raj Kumar, in Banjara Hills on Wednesday, for negligence following an overhead tank overflow incident.
Raj Kumar (CAN:620611107), a resident of Road No. 12, Tattikhana, Banjara Hills, was found to be negligent when water overflowed from the overhead tank and spilled onto the street. The manager on duty noticed the water wastage and following orders from HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy, issued a notice and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Raj Kumar for wasting water, according to HMWSSB statement.
