Hyderabad: Home Guard, woman killed in water tanker crash in Banjara Hills
A home guard and a young woman were killed after a speeding water tanker rammed their motorcycle near Road No 10 in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Monday. Police are investigating the fatal crash.

Hyderabad: Two persons, including a home guard, were killed after a water tanker rammed into a motorcycle they were travelling on in Banjara Hills on Monday.
The victims have been identified as Syed Hussain, a home guard attached to the Santosh Nagar Traffic Police Station, and Akshita, a young woman hailing from Vizianagaram district.
According to the police, Hussain, besides discharging his duties as a home guard, was working part-time as a bike-taxi rider. On Monday morning, Akshita had booked a ride through a bike-taxi app, and the two were proceeding towards their destination when the accident occurred near Road No 10 in Banjara Hills.
A water tanker, reportedly coming from behind at high speed, crashed into the motorcycle. The impact was so severe that both Hussain and Akshita suffered multiple fatal injuries and died on the spot.
The Banjara Hills police are investigating.
