Hyderabad: In a remarkable celebration of music, unity and social responsibility, Hyderabad hosted “Rhythm – World’s Largest Djembe Drum Circle”, an ambitious Guinness World Record attempt aimed at bringing together up to 2,000 drummers performing in unison, creating a powerful symbol of collective harmony and positive social change.
The event, organised by The Djembe Circle under the leadership of its Founder and CEO, Sai Kumar Yeleswarapu, took place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on June 20.
Designed to transcend cultural, linguistic and social boundaries, the event aimed to demonstrate the transformative power of rhythm while positioning Hyderabad on the global map through an unprecedented musical gathering.
The event aimed to set a new Guinness World Record by attempting to assemble 2,000 participants in a synchronised Djembe drum performance. More than a world record attempt, Rhythm is a movement dedicated to promoting social awareness and inspiring positive change. The initiative proudly supports the “Say No to Drugs” campaign, encouraging young people to embrace healthy lifestyles, creativity, discipline and community engagement.
