Hyderabad: Hotel worker from Karnataka murdered in Sanathnagar

Hyderabad: A 48-year-old man was found murdered on Wednesday morning in Sanathnagar, sending shockwaves through the locality.
The victim, identified as Shankar, was discovered with multiple stab injuries near the Bharatnagar flyover.
According to police, unidentified assailants attacked him with a knife and fled the scene. Local residents who noticed the body alerted the police authorities.
Police teams immediately reached the spot, secured the area and shifted the body for autopsy to the hospital. Clues teams collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.
During preliminary inquiry, officials identified Shankar as a native of Karnataka. He had been residing in the city for the past two years and was employed at a hotel in Moosapet. Investigators are examining his personal and professional background as part of the probe.
Police suspect that an alleged extramarital relationship could be the motive behind the murder. However, officers said all angles were being investigated to ascertain the exact sequence of events and identify those involved.
A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace and nab the accused.
