Hyderabad: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Air Force Station (AFS), Begumpet and College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad, conducted a Run for Unity on October 31.
A total of 800 IAF personnel and their family members – 600 participants at AFS, Begumpet and 200 at CAW, Seunderabad – took part in the 7.5 km mini marathon. At AFS Begumpet, Station Commander, Group Captain Sunil Tomar flagged off the run; while Air Vice Marshal KSK Suresh, VM, Commandant, flagged off the participants at CAW.
The runner who came first at AFS, Begumpet, completed the run in 29 minutes. On the occasion, Group Captain Tomar congratulated all the participants and the organising committee for making the marathon a grand success. At CAW, Air Vice Marshal Suresh appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the Air Warriors and their family members.
