Hyderabad: A local court on Friday granted Hyderabad Police another three days custody of ‘iBomma’ Ravi, who is currently lodged in the Central Prison in Chanchalguda, in connection with multiple piracy cases.
Immadi (Emmadi) Ravi, who was arrested for allegedly running the piracy platform and linked offences, has already been taken into police custody twice earlier with court permission, during which he was questioned for a total of eight days.
During hearings, the Cybercrime Police informed the court that four separate cases have been registered against him freshly and that several crucial details and digital evidence were yet to be collected. Seeking further interrogation, they requested additional custody.
The court, which heard both sides, considering the appeal, has allowed fresh three day custody, taking the total interrogation period to eleven days.
Meanwhile, the hearing on Ravi’s bail petition has been postponed to next Monday in view of the new custody order. The Police are expected to take Ravi into custody from the prison on Saturday.
