Hyderabad identifies over 9.95 lakh ASD voters during electoral roll revision

Hyderabad district has identified over 9.95 lakh Absent, Shifted or Dead (ASD) voters during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The district has completed 57.56% digitisation of enumeration forms, with the submission deadline set for August 10.

Hyderabad: Over 9.95 lakh voters were identified as ‘Absent, Shifted or Dead (ASD) voters’ across all 15 assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, said District Election Officer, RV Karnan.

According to latest data released on Wednesday, Jubilee Hills assembly constituency recorded the highest number of ASD voters at 88,933, while Amberpet recorded the lowest at 38,208.

The status report on the digitisation of enumeration forms as of August 5 had Hyderabad district completing 57.56% digitisation. Of 47,36,669 electors, digitisation had been completed for 27,26,665 electors.

Karnan said the balance for digitisation in the Hyderabad district is 10,14,699 (21.42%).

Bahadurpura assembly constituency led with 63.35% digitisation. Sanathnagar constituency recorded 53.53%, the lowest in the city.

On Wednesday, Karnan convened an all-party meeting to explain the status of the SIR in Hyderabad district. The meeting was held with five days remaining until the deadline for submission of enumeration forms on August 10.
