Hyderabad: In view of the ongoing multi-level flyover and underpass construction works at IIIT Junction, traffic diversions effective from April 8 have been announced.

Expected to continue for approximately one year, traffic regulation measures are being implemented at various locations, junctions and roads to ensure smooth and efficient movement in and around IIIT Junction within the limits of the Cyberabad Commissionerate.

A traffic advisory has been issued on diversion points and alternative routes during specified hours from 8 am to 9 pm.

Traffic travelling from Gachibowli Junction via IIIT Junction, Gachibowli Stadium and HCU Gate No 2 towards Lingampally will be diverted from IIIT Junction towards Wipro Junction, taking a right turn to Gowlidoddi, then proceeding via Gopanpally Junction, Nallagandla and onwards to Lingampally.

Traffic moving from the Financial District, Gopanpally Thanda, Gowlidoddi, Q City and Wipro Junction towards IIIT Junction will be diverted from Wipro Junction towards Nanakramguda Rotary 2, taking a left turn and merging into ORR to reach Gachibowli Junction.

Traffic travelling from Lingampally via HCU, Masjidbanda T Junction, Gachibowli Stadium and DLF Junction towards Gachibowli, Kothaguda and Mehdipatnam will be diverted from SMR/HCU Bus Depot Junction towards Masjidbanda, then via Sriramnagar and Botanical Junction, taking a right turn towards Udipi Hotel, making a U turn, and proceeding via ZPHS Gachibowli to Gachibowli Junction.

With the flyover development works expected to continue for at least one year, traffic congestion is anticipated in and around IIIT Junction. Regular commuters, including IT employees, have been asked to take alternate routes for a safer commute.

Cyberabad cops have advised the general public to make alternative arrangements to ensure free flow of traffic.
