Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC) organised Inter College Commerce Talent Test on Monday which was held in collaboration with Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana. While eight students from different colleges from both the Telugu-speaking States were awarded prizes, about five students of IIMC were also given prizes as they scored top marks in the test.
K Shiva from Veda Degree College and G Viswateja from IIMC bagged the first prize, while G Sampath Kumar from University PG College, and Hemanth Kumar Sharma from IIMC were awarded the second prize. In addition, M Vinay Kumar from OU College of Commerce and BM, and Sunidhi N Bhar from IIMC were awarded the third prize.
The test also awarded seven consolation prizes to Srivalli Bala from Jahnavi Degree College, V Tarun to Avanthi College of Commerce, Y Anirudh from Avinash College of Commerce, A Kushal from Badruka College of Commerce and Arts, K Sreshta Vagedv Reddy from CMS Degree College along with two IIMC students – S Greeshma and Trupthji S Ghate.
The college informed that 700-plus students attended the event which was held between 2-3:15 PM wherein former principal of IIMC P Poornachander Rao, IIMC principal K Raghuveer and Sai Ram, head of Ambitions Education Entity distributed the prizes.
IIMC has been holding this test for more than a decade now and this time 150 colleges from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated with students coming in from places like Siddipet, Karimnagar and Vijaywada as well. In 2020, the college successfully held the talent test online with 500 teams participating from across the country, IIMC said.
