Hyderabad: V Yashveer took four wickets as Hyderabad found themselves in a commanding position, securing a 129-run lead in the first innings over Chhattisgarh in the Day 2 of the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy clash at Nexgen Ground on Saturday.

Chhattisgarh faltered and were dismissed for 188 in 64.4 overs, with Yashveer standing out with the ball. At the stumps, Hyderabad were at 29/1 in 8 overs, with an overall lead of 158 runs.


Vijay Merchant Trophy

Hyderabad’s struggle against Kerala continued on Day 2 of the Vijay Merchant Trophy clash at Lucknow on Saturday.

Dev M Mehta led the fightback for Hyderabad with a six-wicket haul; however, Eshaan Kunal’s remarkable 107 (16×4) propelled Kerala to 263, taking a lead of 180 runs. Coming into bat in the second innings, Hyderabad were 105/4 at stumps, still trailing by 75 runs to avoid an innings defeat.
