Hyderabad: Inter student held for harassing minor girl
The arrested person was B Sai Kumar alias Sai Vardhan Yadav (19), a student of a private college and a resident of Vanasthalipuram.
Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar police arrested an intermediate second year student on charges of stalking and harassing a minor girl here on Saturday.
The arrested person was B Sai Kumar alias Sai Vardhan Yadav (19), a student of a private college and a resident of Vanasthalipuram. According to the police, Sai Kumar became friends with the 16-year-old girl, a class 10 student and after gaining her trust, borrowed Rs 65,000 from her on different occasions.
“While they were moving closely, he also clicked some pictures with her. He then started threatening her that if she rejected him, he would publish the pictures,” police said, adding that he also demanded money with more threats.
Based on a complaint from the girl’s father, a case was booked and Sai Kumar was arrested. He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
