Hyderabad: Intermediate girl killed at home in Warasiguda
A 16 year old intermediate student was murdered at her house in Warasiguda on Monday. Police suspect the attacker was known to her. She died on the spot due to heavy bleeding. Police have started investigation and further details are awaited
Hyderabad: An intermediate student was brutally killed by her friend at Warasiguda in Secunderabad on Monday afternoon following a quarrel between them over personal issues.
The victim, aged around 17 years, stayed at Warasiguda along with her parents. On Monday afternoon, the attacker Uma Shanker, who was known to the girl, came to her house.
“Uma Shanker had an argument with the girl in her house over some issues between them. In a fit of rage, he took a knife kept in the kitchen and stabbed the girl indiscriminately. The victim suffered serious injuries and died on the spot,” said Warasiguda Inspector M Mudhusudhan Reddy.
After killing the girl, Uma Shanker escaped from the spot. The police, on receiving information, reached the house and shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. Two special teams have been formed to nab the suspect. Senior police officials visited the scene.
Sources said that the girl had gone to Vijayawada along with her parents. However, Uma Shanker had asked her not to go and insisted she stay in the city. After she returned, he admonished her for not listening to him, and she reportedly told him she was not interested in continuing their relationship.
