Hyderabad: Interstate drug peddler nabbed, 3 kilos of ganja seized

According to the police, Sravan, who is addicted to consuming marijuana, earlier worked as a cab driver and DJ operator. However, due to his meagre income, he took to drug peddling.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police along with the HNEW team and Chikkadpally police nabbed an interstate drug peddler and seized 3 kgs of marijuana worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

The arrested person was identified as Dara Sravan from Amberpet. The absconding person is Shaik Azhar from Akhola in Maharashtra.

According to the police, Sravan, who is addicted to consuming marijuana, earlier worked as a cab driver and DJ operator. However, due to his meagre income, he took to drug peddling.

“He procured marijuana at a higher rate from Shaik Azhar in Maharashtra and smuggled it to Hyderabad and sold it to consumers at a higher rate,” police said adding that Sravan was involved in drug peddling for the past six months.

The supplier, Shaik Azhar procured marijuana from local drug dealers in Odisha at a cheaper price and sold to drug peddlers.
