Hyderabad: Several job aspirants were allegedly cheated with a promise of jobs and visas by an overseas consultancy in Gachibowli.
The consultancy management had reportedly approached young job aspirants, mostly degree pass outs, and promised them quick visa and preferred jobs in reputed companies in Australia and other countries.
They asked the job aspirants to pay between Rs 15,000 to Rs.1 lakh and more and assured to get jobs for them with good salaries and allowances. Believing the consultancy executives, several students handed over money to them.
However, none of them got any jobs. Realising they were cheated, the victims approached the Gachibowli police and lodged a complaint.
Police is investigating.
