Hyderabad: Keesara police bust six-member dacoity gang
Keesara police have busted a six-member dacoity gang that used a social networking app to befriend victims, lure them to isolated locations along the Outer Ring Road, and rob them. In one case reported on April 6, a man was assaulted near Bacharam. Police arrested six accused and are searching for an absconding associate.

Hyderabad: The Keesara police on Saturday caught a six-member dacoity gang involved in luring victims through a social networking app and robbing them at isolated locations along the Outer Ring Road.
The suspects identified as K Karthik, Ram Raja, K Saiteja, G Sravan, M Pawan Kalyan and Ch Pavan Kalyan, along with another associate who is absconding, targeted victims through a social networking app. They would befriend individuals online, gain their trust and lure them into vehicles on false pretexts.
In one incident, which was reported on April 6, the gang took a man in a car from Rampally towards Ghatkesar and later moved to an isolated area near Bacharam village via ORR, where the victim was assaulted and robbed.
Police said the gang used a similar modus operandi in multiple cases, including one registered at Abdullapurmet police station.
Efforts are underway to nab the absconding suspects.
