Hyderabad: Kindergarten girl assaulted by aayah at Jeedimetla school, case registered

A kindergarten student in Jeedimetla was beaten by a school aayah after urinating in class. The assault, captured on video and shared on social media, led the parents to file a complaint, and police have registered a case against the staff member

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a kindergarten student was badly thrashed by an aayah at a school in Jeedimetla in the city on Saturday. The brutal assault on the child was filmed using a mobile phone by a local resident who shared it on social media platforms.

According to the police, the child had urinated in her clothes in the classroom and a teacher called aayah to take the child out and change her clothes.

In the video, the school aayah is seen taking the child outside into an open compound in the school. Afterwards, she is seen hitting and pushing the girl on the floor, asking her to change her dress. The girl could be seen weeping in the video clip of 58 seconds.

The parents of the child who came to know about it first made a complaint to the school management. On the suggestions of the local people, the family then approached the Jeedimetla police.

The police, following a complaint from the child’s parents, registered a case and started an investigation. The parents demand action against the aayah and the school management.
