Hyderabad: The family of 55-year-old Head Constable Nallala Laxmirajam from Korutla police station, who was declared brain dead, has donated his organs to needy patients under the State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

On March 22, Laxmirajam, a resident of Puranipet, Jagtial, collapsed due to high blood pressure and was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad for emergency treatment. Despite medical efforts, he was declared brain dead on March 24.

The police officer’s wife, Nallala Radha, gave consent to donate his organs to needy patients. The surgeries retrieved two kidneys and allocated them to needy patients based on the organ donation guidelines.

Jeevandan Telangana extended its gratitude to the family members of Nallala Laxmirajam for deciding to donate his organs to needy patients.
