Hyderabad: Kushaiguda police rescue woman from committing suicide
The 30-year-old woman from Medipally who reportedly was depressed over family problems, came to the railways tracks along with her sons, aged 5 and 7 years, to commit suicide.
Hyderabad: Swift and timely response on part of the Kushaiguda police saved a woman and her two minor sons from committing suicide at the railway track in Cherlapally in the early hours of Sunday. The police suspect a family dispute was the reason for the suicide bid.
The 30-year-old woman from Medipally who reportedly was depressed over family problems, came to the railways tracks along with her sons, aged 5 and 7 years, to commit suicide. The locals who noticed them moving suspiciously on the railway track immediately alerted the Kushaiguda police.
On receiving information, the mobile patrol staff – Venkatesha, Head Constable, Lalitha, a woman reserve Police Constable and K.Naresh, an armed reserve police constable, and the patrol car’s driver rushed to the spot.
“Our team reached noticed the woman crying and walking on the railway track holding the hands of her children. Our officials ran up to a kilometre on the track and caught them,” said an official. They were taken to a safe place and the family members were informed.
The Kushaiguda police counseled and handed her and the children to her husband.
