Hyderabad: A labourer was murdered in a fight between a group at Mangalhat in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim, Mohd Haneef (25), a daily wage worker from Mangalhat, along with his friends Mohd Mustafa (24), an auto rickshaw driver, and Rasheed (30), a labourer, and three others quarreled while playing a game at Gangabowli in the early hours of Sunday.
“An altercation ensued between Haneef and others during the game. One of the person in the group who brought a knife attacked Haneef, Mustafa and Rasheed with it. All the three persons were shifted to hospital where Haneef was pronounced death,” Ranveer Reddy, SHO Mangalhat police station, said.
On information, the Mangalhat police reached the spot and started investigation. Efforts are on to nab the culprits who attacked Haneef and others. Three special teams have been formed by the police to nab them. Senior police officials visited the spot.
