Hyderabad: Osmania University’s (OU) Emeritus Professor Gattu Satyanarayana has been nominated for the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Indian Sociological Society (ISS) New Delhi.

This recognition comes as a testament to his exceptional contributions to the fields of education and research in Sociology. The award letter was officially sent to Prof. Satyanarayana by Maitreyi Chaudhary, president Indian Sociological Society.

The award will be presented to Prof. Satyanarayana during the 49th all India Sociological Conference, scheduled to be held at BMU Munjal University, Gurugram, from December 22 to 24.

With a career spanning over 35 years, Prof. Satyanarayana significantly contributed to teaching, research, and administration at OU. He currently holds the position of Emeritus Professor under the UGC at the Department of Sociology, OU.
