Hyderabad: The 220-bed Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre at Masab Tank on Sunday announced the launch of its upgraded cardiology wing taken-up in collaboration with KIMS Hospital with a cost of Rs 5 crore.
Services at the cardiology wing, which was inaugurated by Dr B Bhaskar Rao, CMD, KIMS Hospitals, Patil Kantilal Subhas, DCP, in the presence of Mahavir trustees and staff, will be offered at half of the cost that is charged in corporate hospitals.
Dr Bhaskar Rao said KIMS Group contributed equipment to establish high-end Cath labs and also extended support in several areas. He suggested that Mahavir Trust build a corpus fund of Rs 1 crore and assured Rs 1 crore contribution from KIMS hospital for the purpose.
He also suggested adopting a Kaizen model, which refers to the idea of business improvement that focuses on gradual, incremental changes so that Mahavir Hospital grows big very soon.
Mahendra Ranka, Hospital Chairman, Sunil Pahade, Vice Chairman, and others were present.
