Hyderabad: Automobile giant Mahindra & Mahindra flagged off Mahindra XUV700 Freedom Drive here on Monday. The company’s regional head, Bhoopesh Kumar, flagged off the 30-car convoy to create awareness about its upcoming sports utility vehicle (SUV) – XUV700.
With a sophisticated exterior making up for an extremely aerodynamic design, the new XUV700 will be available in petrol and diesel variants, in both automatic and manual options. The 2-litre Turbo GDi mStallion Engine of the petrol variant chucks out a powerful 380 Nm torque. The diesel variant comes with a 2.2 Commonrail Turbo Diesel mHawk engine and is available in two different versions, a 185 PS and 155 PS.
The car comes with sophisticated interiors, with twin 10.25-inch floating display screens that replace the conventional design. A panoramic sky roof makes the interiors feel spacious and calm.
XUV700 also comes with a wide range of safety features and is the first of a new generation of SUVs that Mahindra is expected to come out soon. Details of its pricing and booking will be announced shortly.
