Hyderabad: Major fire breaks out in plastic tray manufacturing unit in Jeedimetla
According to the police, workers of the unit noticed the fire and rushed out to safety. Local residents alerted the fire department and the police personnel.
Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a plastic trays manufacturing unit at Subash Nagar in the industrial area of Jeedimetla, Hyderabad on Tuesday.
No casualties were reported in the fire and the cause of fire was yet to be known, police said.
According to the police, workers of the unit noticed the fire and rushed out to safety. Local residents alerted the fire department and the police personnel.
Fire caught the plastic, fiber and other combustible material stored in the godown, which resulted in dark smoke, with the flames spreading to the whole unit.
The police along with fire department officials with the help of fire engines are putting in all possible efforts to douse the fire at the earliest.
The Jeedimetla police are investigating.
