Hyderabad: Man accidentally strangles himself to death attempting to blackmail fiancée on video call

Akash (25) got engaged to a woman a few weeks ago, with their wedding set to take place the following month. On Monday, he called his fiancée and asked her to join him on a trip, but she refused.

Hyderabad: In a freak incident, a man who put a noose around his neck to threaten her fiancee that he would commit suicide died after his trick went wrong.

The man Akash (25) got engaged to a woman a few weeks ago and their marriage was scheduled a month later.
On Monday, the man called his fiancee and asked him to accompany him on some tour. The woman didn’t agree for it.

In an attempt to intimidate the woman Akash set up a noose and put the rope around his neck. He made a video call to the woman and told he was ending his life as she was not obeying him. He disconnected the call then.

“While getting down from the chair, he slipped and the noose got tightened around the neck leading to strangulation. No one was around in the house and Akash eventually died,” said Kachiguda sub inspector Naresh.

A case is registered.
