Hyderabad: A small argument, reportedly over an enquiry on the location of a hotel, is said to have resulted in murder of an electrician at Habeebnagar early on Wednesday. The suspect, involved in several property offences, was arrested on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim Mohd Shadab (23) an electrician from Mangalhat was going on the Noble Talkies road at Asifnagar on Wednesday around 2 am, when the suspect B Sai Kumar (21) who was in an inebriated condition met him.
“Shadab asked Sai Kumar, who was previously involved in 11 cases of property offences, about the location of a hotel. Sai Kumar who was in an inebriated condition picked up a quarrel with Shadab for stopping him and stabbed him in the stomach,” Habeebnagar Inspector M Narendar said, adding that though Shadab was rushed to the Osmania General Hospital, he succumbed to injuries later in the night.
The Habeebnagar police booked a case under Section 302 of IPC against the attacker, who was later identified as Sai Kumar, a resident of Mangar Basthi in Habeebnagar. He was arrested on Thursday and produced before court.
