The suspect was acquainted with a family friend, Praveen, who lived near the security agency. During his visits to Praveen’s house, he allegedly noticed that a driver working for the security agency would wash the vehicle and leave its keys near the gate.

The police said the accused had recently been visiting the house regularly. On October 19, he allegedly noticed the keys left at the same spot and stole the vehicle.

The officials said financial difficulties, including six months of pending house rent and expenses involved in shifting to another house, allegedly prompted him to commit the theft.
