Hyderabad: Man arrested for claiming to solve health issues through black magic

The arrested person is Ilyas Ahmed alias Mohd Ilyas (42), from Jahangirabad in Bandlaguda.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-East) team along with the local police nabbed one person on charges of cheating people in the guise of solving their problems including health ailments, through his powers in black magic at Bandlaguda here on Thursday.

The arrested person is Ilyas Ahmed alias Mohd Ilyas (42), from Jahangirabad in Bandlaguda.

According to the police, Ahmed, a native of Mahabubnagar came to Hyderabad in 2012 in search of livelihood and started cheating people in the guise of providing solutions to their problems with black magic.

“He cheated several people by collecting huge money with promise to provide them relief and solutions to the problems. Though the problems were not solved, he continued to demand more money from people,” said a senior police official.

Officials seized photos and threads used for performing black magic, cash of Rs 8,000, and a mobile phone from him.
