Hyderabad man arrested for posing as police officer online
Hyderabad police arrested a 21-year-old man for impersonating a police officer and posting fake AI-generated videos on Instagram. The accused was caught by Task Force and Kalapathar Police, with a mobile phone seized and a case registered.
Hyderabad: The city police arrested Mohd Abubakar Ali Tabassum (21) for allegedly impersonating a police officer and posting fake AI-generated videos on Instagram.
The suspect was nabbed by the Task Force, Rajendranagar Zone, along with Kalapathar Police in Mailardevpally. A mobile phone used in the offence was seized.
A case has been registered under BNS and IT Act provisions, and further investigation is on. Police warned the public against sharing unverified social media content.
