Hyderabad: Man arrested for sexually assaulting woman with intellectual disability in Attapur

A man was arrested in Hyderabad’s Attapur area for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman with an intellectual disability after entering her house when family members were away. Police registered a case following a complaint by the victim’s family.

Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident, a young woman with intellectual disability was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man in Hasan Nagar, Attapur on the outskirts.

According to the police, the suspect, identified as Nikhil, reportedly entered the victim’s house when her family members were away and assaulted her.

The incident came to light after the victim’s family lodged a formal complaint with the Attapur police on Sunday.

Based on the complaint, police officials have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

The suspect has been taken into custody, and the victim was sent to a hospital for a medical examination and support. Further investigation is underway.
