Hyderabad: A man who tried to intervene in a quarrel was beaten to death by a group of persons at Keesara on Saturday night.
The victim, Naresh (36) had gone along with his brother and three friends Ashok, Shaukath and another person to Lucky wine shop located at Keesara main road to sort out some financial issue with one person Raghu.
“When they were leaving the place, a stranger along with his friends started beating Ashok following an argument. Naresh intervened and tried to attack them when he was thrashed badly,” said J Narendar Goud, SHO Keesara police station.
His friends rescued Naresh and took him to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. On information the police reached the hospital and shifted the body to mortuary. A case is registered by the Keesara police and efforts launched to identify the persons and nab them.
Woman found murdered at her house in Pahadishareef
In a separate case at Pahadishareef, a woman was found murdered at her house on Saturday night.
K Shobha Sharma (76) stayed alone at her house in Mamidpally under Pahadishareef police station limits while her children stay elsewhere in the city.
On Saturday evening, Shobha’s son Manoj Sharma woman called her over phone to check her well-being but she did not respond. Worried over his mother not taking the calls, he asked one of his friend who stays nearby, to check the house. When the man went to the house he found the victim dead.
.“Unidentified persons strangulated the woman and killed her before taking away a gold chain,” said C Venkateshwarlu, SHO Pahadishareef police station. A case is registered by the police.
