Hyderabad: Man booked for cheating woman on marriage promise in Medipally
A man was booked by Medipally police after a 29-year-old woman accused him of cheating her on the promise of marriage. The woman alleged that the suspect developed a relationship with her after meeting through a friendship-based mobile application.
Hyderabad: A man was booked for allegedly cheating a woman after promising to marry her and later backing out in Medipally on the city outskirts.
According to police, the 29-year-old woman, a resident of Kachavani Singaram in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, came into contact with the suspect, identified as Raja Ravindra from Siddipet district, through a friend-based mobile application.
Over time, he gained her trust by expressing love and assuring her of marriage.
Believing his promises, the woman reportedly met him in private on multiple occasions, during which they developed a physical relationship. However, the suspect later refused to marry her.
Realizing that she had been deceived, the woman approached the Medipally police and lodged a complaint on Sunday.
Based on her statement, a case has been registered, and further investigation is on.
