Hyderabad: Man booked under POCSO for allegedly sexually harassing daughter

A Borabanda man has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually harassing his daughter over a period of time and threatening her with dire consequences. The case was registered following a complaint by the victim's mother, and an investigation is underway.

Hyderabad: A man was booked by the police for allegedly sexually harassing his 19-year-old daughter at their residence in Borabanda.

According to information available, the suspect had allegedly been behaving inappropriately with his daughter for some time. He is accused of touching her inappropriately and subjecting her to repeated sexual harassment. The victim also alleged that he threatened to kill her if she disclosed the abuse to anyone.

The matter came to light after the young woman informed her mother about the alleged harassment. When confronted, the suspect allegedly threatened the mother as well.

Following a complaint lodged by the mother, Borabanda Police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and took up investigation.

Police are investigating the allegations and further legal action will be taken based on the findings.
