Hyderabad: Man dies after hit-and-run accident in Saidabad

A 28-year-old man died after being seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident at Saidabad. A speeding car rammed into his motorcycle and fled the scene. Police later arrested the driver, while two others remain absconding.

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old man who was seriously injured in a road accident at Saidabad on Friday night died while undergoing treatment on Sunday early hours.

Sunil Kumar (28), a resident of Karmanghat, was going on his motorcycle on the Champapet road when a speeding car rammed into his bike. The car dragged motorcycle of Sunil’s motorcycle for around 50 metres, leading to serious injuries to the man. The driver of the car had sped away soon after the accident.


The Saidabad police basing on a complaint made by Sunil’s relative, registered a case and later traced the car. The car driver, Charan, was taken into custody by the Saidabad police. Two other people who were travelling in the car are still absconding.
