Hyderabad: Man dies by suicide in Uppal, losses in online trading suspected
A 29-year-old man died by suicide in Uppal, allegedly due to financial losses in online trading. Police said the victim was under severe mental distress and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances behind the incident.
Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old man died by suicide in Uppal allegedly after facing severe financial losses in online trading, police said on Monday.
The victim was identified as Kasoju Ravichandra, a native of Marutinagar in Achampet, Nagarkurnool district, who had been living in South Swaroopnagar, Uppal.
Ravichandra had been involved in online long-term trading for nearly five years.
According to the police, mounting losses in the business pushed him into deep mental distress. In a tragic turn of events, he reportedly procured a chemical substance through an online platform and consumed it at his residence on Sunday.
He was found unconscious and was shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared as dead by the doctors.
Based on the complaint, the Uppal police registered a case and have taken up an investigation. The body was shifted for an autopsy.
Police said further inquiry is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
