Hyderabad: Man electrocuted while fixing banner in Kukatpally

A middle-aged man was electrocuted while fixing a banner on an iron arch pole at Bhagyanagar Colony, Kukatpally, ahead of Guru Purnima. The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed. Police are probing the cause of the mishap

Hyderabad: A man was reportedly electrocuted while climbing an iron arch pole to fix a banner at Bhagyanagar Colony in Kukatpally on Tuesday.

As per available information, the middle-aged man, yet to be identified, had climbed the arch pole to fix a banner in view of the forthcoming Guru Purnima, when the mishap occurred.

It was unclear whether he came in contact with a live electric wire or a faulty electrical grounding system.

The Kukatpally police are investigating.
