Hyderabad: Upset over being scolded by his elder brother for his boozing habits, a 26-year-old youngster committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in an inebriated condition at his house in Shamirpet late on Thursday night.
Police said the deceased, Dandu Swamy, a resident of Lakshmapur village in Shamirpet mandal was working as a driver and was addicted to alcohol. He used to pick up fights with family members when they refused to give him money for alcohol. On Thursday morning, Swamy was scolded by his brother Hanumanthu for his behaviour. Upset over being scolded by his brother, Swamy took the extreme step to end the life by hanging from the ceiling fan in the house. The Shamirpet police booked a case and took up the investigating.
