Hyderabad: An auto rickshaw driver died by suicide at his house in Banjara Hills on Sunday.
The man identified as Sayeed Bin Mubarak (40) was married to Shaheen Begum in 2005 and the couple along with their children lived at a rented house in First Lancer under Banjara Hills police station limits.
Sayeed’s family members told the police that for the last few days there were issues going on between the couple and the family elders counseled them.
On Wednesday, Shaheen went to her mother’s house following a quarrel with Sayeed. “On Saturday night, Sayeed went and spoke to Shaheen at her mother’s place and returned home. In the morning, he hanged himself to the ceiling fan using a bed sheet,” said Banjara Hills police.
On information the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. A postmortem examination was performed and the body handed over to family. A case is booked and police investigating.
