Hyderabad tragedy: Man mauled to death by stray dogs and pigs in Shamshabad
A 36-year-old man from Vellore, Tamil Nadu, died after being attacked by stray dogs and pigs in Shamshabad on Hyderabad’s outskirts late Friday night. Initially suspected to be a murder, police confirmed after postmortem and CCTV footage analysis that the injuries were caused by the stray animals.
Hyderabad: In a gruesome incident, a man died after being attacked by a pack of dogs and pigs at Shamshabad on the city’ outskirts on Friday night.
According to the police, C. Narayana Swamy (36), a native of Vellore in Tamil Nadu, stayed at a hostel in Madhura Nagar in Shamshabad and worked at a company here.
On Friday late at night, Swamy was found lying dead on Madhuranagar Street Number 3 by locals who informed the police. The police found several injuries on the body and initially suspected it was a case of murder.
“After the opinion from the doctors who conducted the postmortem and analysis of footage of the closed circuit cameras (CCTV), we concluded the man was bitten by the dogs and pigs leading to his death,” RGI Airport Inspector, B Sanjeevulu.
The probe revealed that on Friday, Narayana Swamy had consumed liquor heavily and fell on the road at night. During the night, stray dogs and pigs moving around the area attacked the man resulting in his death at the spot. A case has been registered.
