Hyderabad: Man gets 10-year jail term for raping minor girl

The convict Syed Haji Ali (45), an auto driver from Shaheen Nagar in Balapur had confined, raped and threatened the girl, who is the daughter of his friend.

Hyderabad: A fast track court on child related offences on Friday sentenced a man to undergo ten years rigourous imprisonment in the rape case of a minor girl reported at Pahadishareef in 2021.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on him.


The convict Syed Haji Ali (45), an auto driver from Shaheen Nagar in Balapur had confined, raped and threatened the girl, who is the daughter of his friend.

Based on the girl’s complaint, the Pahadishareef police booked a case and arrested Syed Haji Ali.

The court has further ordered a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the victim.
