Hyderabad: A local court on Tuesday awarded five years of rigorous imprisonment to a man who killed the landlord over a petty issue at Balapur five years ago.

Ahmed Bin Sadiq (25), a resident of Balapur attacked the owner of the house, Ghouse Khan, following a petty quarrel. “Sadiq was not vacating the house and frequently came home in an inebriated condition and created nuisance. On March 04, 2016 Ahmed beat up Ghouse following a small argument between them in the house resulting in internal injuries to the former and subsequent death,” said the Balapur police.

After a complaint, the police had booked a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and remanded him. After the trial, the court on Tuesday convicted him and awarded five-year rigorous imprisonment jail term.
