Hyderabad: Man gets two-year RI for theft

The convicted person G Mahesh (23) from Hanuman Nagar in Nagole was arrested in March 2019 after which he was detained under the Preventive Detention Act at the Central Prison in Cherlapally

Hyderabad: A local court on Wednesday sentenced a person for two years of rigourous imprisonment on charges of theft. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on him.

The convicted person G Mahesh (23) from Hanuman Nagar in Nagole along with his associates began stealing cattle in 2018 from the city outskirts. He was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. However, after being released from the jail, he started robbing elderly women in residential colonies.

The LB Nagar police arrested him in March 2019 after which he was detained under the Preventive Detention Act at the Central Prison in Cherlapally.
