Hyderabad: A man who allegedly cheated a woman after promising a government double bedroom house was caught by the Balanagar police.
Police said Syed Ahmed had convinced the woman saying he had close contacts with government officials and collected nearly Rs 10 lakh from her.
However, even after several months, he did not arrange for the house nor did he return the money. He also started harassing her, following which she approached the police, who arrested him.
