Hyderabad man held for selling banned e-cigarettes at IS Sadan

Hyderabad police arrested an individual for illegally selling banned e-cigarettes at IS Sadan. Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force and local police seized 90 flavoured e-cigarettes, a bike, and other gadgets worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-East) team, along with the local police, arrested a man on charges of illegally procuring and selling banned electronic nicotine delivery systems, i.e. e-cigarettes at IS Sadan on Friday.

The arrested person Tharif Hussain (30), a two-wheeler dealer from Khalander Nagar, was caught while carrying a stock of e-cigarettes on his bike.

Investigations revealed that Hussain had procured the banned products from one Aizaz and was selling them to customers at higher prices for profit.

Police seized 90 e-cigarettes of different flavours, a bike and gadgets, altogether valued at Rs 2.5 lakh.

IS Sadan police have launched an investigation into the matter.
