Hyderabad: Man jailed for rape and murder of minor girl
A local court on Tuesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment in the rape and murder case of a minor girl reported in Vanasthalipuram in 2014. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 13,000 on him.
Hyderabad: A local court on Tuesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment in the rape and murder case of a minor girl reported in Vanasthalipuram in 2014. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 13,000 on him.
The convicted persons D Venkatesh (43), a mason from Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram, lured the girl with fake promises of love and marriage and sexually exploited her. Subsequently, when she questioned him of marriage, he killed her.
The Vanasthalipuram police booked a case and arrested Venkatesh.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu appreciated the efforts of the investigation officer and team in securing conviction in the case.
