Hyderabad man killed, family injured in road accident near Karimnagar
A Hyderabad man, Kongari Mrityunjay (32), died and others were injured after their car hit a divider and collided with a bus near Thimmapur, Karimnagar, on Monday night
Karimnagar: A man from Hyderabad was killed and a few others injured in a road accident near Indiranagar stage in Thimmapur mandal on Monday night.
The mishap occurred around 8 pm when the car carrying the victims hit a road divider and then collided with a TGSRTC bus coming from the opposite direction.
The deceased was identified as Kongari Mrityunjay (32), who died on the spot. His wife and others sustained injuries.
According to police, Mrityunjay, who was driving the vehicle, reportedly lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle, causing the car to ram into the divider, cross over, and crash into the bus.
A native of Hyderabad, Mrityunjay had travelled to Karimnagar with his family and was returning home when the accident occurred.
On receiving information, LMD Sub-Inspector Srikanth rushed to the spot, shifted the injured to the district headquarters hospital, and sent the body for postmortem.
