Hyderabad: A 33 year-old man was murdered allegedly by his friend at Chatrinaka on Sunday.

The victim, AK Umakanth (33), a resident of Meerpet, had come to Chatrinaka to meet his friend Ravi. “Both of them consumed alcohol at Uppuguda. We suspect that an argument took place between them during which Ravi is suspected to have killed him,” said SHO Chatrinaka, Abdul Khader Jilani.

On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem examination to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. A case is booked under Section 302 of IPC and efforts launched to nab the culprit.
